CharityRx is truly making a difference in the lives of animals across the country. Their reps have been busy donating funds to local animal shelters and rescuing shelter pets!
When customers filled their prescriptions in April and May using the CharityRx prescription discount card at participating pharmacies, CharityRx reps were able to raise enough money to make a real difference. Reps could choose which local shelter they wanted to donate the funds to, and the response has been impressive.
The shelters receiving the donations have been grateful for the help. In many cases, it’s allowed them to purchase needed supplies or expand their operations in order to save more animals.
The reps who participated in the program are just as passionate about helping animals as CharityRx is. They’ve shared stories of how they chose a shelter, the impact it had on them personally, and why they believe supporting animal shelters is so important.
Their photos and testimonials reveal a strong sense of community and altruism, all working together to save the lives of animals in need. It’s truly inspiring to see what can be accomplished when people come together for a common cause.
Heidi Bales donated to Pet Resource Center of Kansas City because “it is the organization that does the most to help animals in our community. I personally love to donate to animals because I am obsessed. I actually work with some animal rescue groups. When they hear it’s a charity for animals, the Texan pharmacists’ response is always super positive.”
Robert Erion chose to help Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter. He said, “I live in Alameda, and I am a dog lover. This shelter has a 99% adoption rate, but they need money for food. We need to help keep our dogs and cats alive so they can be adopted.”
Lacey Saxon’s local shelter is Hope For Brevard. “The last dog we adopted was from Hope for Brevard. They are a no-kill pet shelter. I really like them. It’s amazing that if the animals don’t get adopted, they take them home,” she said.
Paul Mancuso donated to the Arizona Humane Society and said, “It does wonderful work rescuing animals of all kinds, and they also take reptiles to schools to educate the children.”
Matthew Willingham decided to help Happy Tails Cat Sanctuary in Ohio. “Happy Tails is a great organization, and I know the money goes to the animals, not to pay the administration. There are always cats in need of medical treatment, which is expensive, and many volunteers use their own money. It’s always better to give locally than nationally for the simple reason that the money goes where it’s supposed to–to the cause,” Matt said.
Patty Engel also took her donation check to Happy Tails Cat Sanctuary. She said, “I know donations to Happy Tails Cat Sanctuary have decreased since the Covid-19 pandemic, and they’ve needed funds to help with medical procedures and caring for the cats. The volunteers will often use their own money to help the cats vs. euthanizing them. All lives are precious to them. I will always choose a local charity over a national one when donating, as I know where the money goes, and you can see a direct result of your donation.”
Judy Smith mailed her check to the Ottawa Animal Hospital East in Michigan, where they are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership, preventative health care, and health-related educational opportunities for our clients. Pet health and well-being are very important to them, and they take every possible measure to give animals the care they deserve.
“The Front Street Animal Shelter is well known in the Sacramento region for taking in and providing healthcare and rehabilitation for dogs and cats and then making the animals available for adoption,” Lynne Halbasch said.
We here at CharityRx are so proud of our reps and their commitment to helping those in need. We want to thank them for all their hard work and dedication, and we look forward to continuing this amazing program for many years to come.
Let’s all do our part and help support animal shelters in any way we can! Together, we can make a real difference. Thank you for your commitment to helping animals in need!
