The Foster Care program is a system that provides temporary housing for children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse or neglect. Many of these kids are separated from the only things they know – their family, home, and belongings. They need your help to give them hope for a brighter future.
Through January and February, the CharityRx discount card will help foster children feel hope for their futures by providing them with personal luggage so they can feel dignity when packing their personal belongings before moving into a new foster home. Most children in the Foster Care System use garbage bags to pack and move their personal belongings, causing them to feel distressed about being able to properly care for some of the only things that are familiar to them in their world of uncertainty. Foster Care children shouldn’t be made to feel that their personal belongings are worthless because they are forced to pack the few items they own in the same way that we pack garbage.
