How Donations Were Used

The 2024 CharityRx Founder’s Day of Service was an incredible showcase of what we can accomplish together. From individual service projects to large-scale corporate events, our team embraced the spirit of giving and service.

Team Member Stories

Tonya S. – Ministry Village at Olive Inc., Charis House

I chose this because of the amazing support they give the community. The Charis House provides housing and care for women. This organization helps those in need throughout Escambia County, Florida, and graciously took in one of our local women for a year of rehab for free! They help them overcome drug addictions, alcoholism, depression, and homelessness. They also have weekly programs for people without housing in the community, where they set up showers and provide free clothing and food.

My family and I provided dinner and purchased items, including feminine products, toiletries, towels, laundry detergents, and Dollar General gift cards. We then spent time talking with the ladies and ministering to them, and my daughter, Holin, sang to them.

Robert E. – Kiwanis Club of Alameda for Special Olympics Alameda

My son participates in the Special Olympics here in Alameda. The organization needed funds to help pay for their annual Christmas party. My son and I also helped with a beach cleanup event in Alameda.

Patti E. – Happy Tails Cat Sanctuary

Happy Tails Cat Sanctuary continues to do fantastic work taking care of abandoned animals and always needs additional donations. I know of their work, and though there are so many other worthy charities that also need help, I am fulfilled knowing that the gratitude they have shown in the past will continue in the future. Caring for those who cannot care for themselves is a selfless act.

Ray R. – Beautify Fresno

My wife and I helped Beautify Fresno to pick up over 400 pounds of trash. People have been littering the neighborhoods around schools, even with drug paraphernalia like needles.

Project 150 – Supporting Local Youth in Need

Our corporate service project included a significant donation to Project 150, a Las Vegas-based nonprofit organization serving homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students. With your support, we were able to provide:

67 sweaters and hoodies to help students stay warm and comfortable during the cooler months.

CharityRx team members also volunteered diligently, logging 192 collective service hours to package and distribute these essential items.

Operation Give Hope – Honoring Military Families

Another major highlight of our service efforts was the Operation Give Hope Military Appreciation Movie Party. This event honored military families, providing them a day of fun and relaxation while celebrating their sacrifices.

CharityRx founder Eric Beaumont addressed the military families before the prize raffle.

“Thank you for hosting a movie night for the kids! It was my kids’ first time at the movies. They are younger school-age children, and they did very well and had fun.”

Kayla

With the community’s contributions, CharityRx proudly provided:

494 gift items, including toys, movie tickets, hats, and gift cards, creating an unforgettable experience for attendees.

174 volunteer hours ensured the event ran smoothly and families felt appreciated and valued.

One attendee from a military family shared, “We had a great time at the movies! The event was very well organized and executed. I love that the prizes were divided by age and category. The movie and location were also great choices.”

These heartwarming words remind us all why community support through initiatives like this is so meaningful.

The Human Side of Impact

Beyond the numbers, the stories genuinely illustrate the power of giving. CharityRx team members worked hand-in-hand with volunteers, packing bags of food and stocking shelves at Project 150. Meanwhile, the Military Appreciation Movie Party allowed families to relax and connect in a nurturing environment—an often-overlooked aspect of supporting military families.

“It was a great time for the family. We enjoyed the movie and the opportunity to spend a free family night together. The kids loved the snacks and drinks.”

Leighanne

Our CharityRx team members were the heart of these projects, bringing compassion and dedication to every task. Here’s what some of them had to say about the experience:

Carolyn said, “Thank you to all of our CharityRx fam! I love doing good for others, and all these events just fire my passion to do more! It’s who we are, and it’s what we do!”

Kamie wrote, “I leave these events with a renewed fire and say to myself, “We need to make more money so we can give MORE!” Thanks to everyone for coming and making it a success! Now, let’s GET TO WORK so we can GET TO GIVING!”

Their stories and those of countless others from the team reinforce our commitment to driving positive change—not just in healthcare but in every aspect of our communities.
