As we draw closer to Thanksgiving, we are reminded of the importance of giving back and helping those in need. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce CharityRx’s latest initiative: giving meals for the Thanksgiving holiday. Since our beginning in 2017, CharityRx has been dedicated to making medicine affordable and accessible for millions of Americans while helping communities in need, and this year, we’re committed to donating even more meals through the CharityRx Food Foundation. By using the CharityRx prescription discount card, you can help us reach our goal of raising our donation total to 250,000 meals this season. Every time a prescription is filled using our card at a pharmacy, a donation is generated that will be used to feed families across the country. So, let’s come together and give back this holiday season!

Help Us Reach Our Goal

CharityRx believes that everyone deserves access to proper nutrition. We have seen firsthand the impact that even one meal can make on someone’s life. That’s why our team is committed to making a change and providing as many meals as possible to those who otherwise wouldn’t have access to them. Since our inception, we have donated over 204,000 meals, and we’re looking to continue this momentum with your help. You can help us increase that number to 250,000 meals this season when you use the CharityRx prescription discount card.

CharityRx is Feeding Families

We know that the holiday season can be difficult for families who are struggling to make ends meet. When you use the CharityRx prescription discount card, you can help make a tangible difference for those families and save up to 80% on your medications. With every use of the card, CharityRx will donate to Feeding America and other food banks nationwide through the CharityRx Food Foundation. So, not only are you saving money on your medications, but you’re also helping to feed someone in need.

More than 34 million people in the U.S. face hunger, including 1 in 9 children. Millions of people in the US don’t have enough food to eat or don’t have access to healthy food. [1]
In 2022 alone, 49 million people turned to food assistance for extra help. Food banks, food pantries, and community organizations unite to help millions of people access affordable, nutritious food for themselves and their families. [2]
People experience food insecurity in every community. However, people in rural communities and the South are often more likely to lack access to enough food. This is because of many factors like poverty, unemployment, and the cost of living. [3]
Inequality is a root cause of food insecurity for people of color. Food insecurity happens to people of all races and ethnicities. However, it is more common for people of color because of the long history of racism and discrimination in the United States. [3]

How You Can Help

We recognize that donating 250,000 meals is a lofty goal, but we truly believe we can achieve it with your help. We encourage you to spread the word about CharityRx and the good we are doing in the community. Tell your friends and family about our prescription discount card and how their use can help give back. If you work at a pharmacy, we ask that you display our promotional materials and encourage your patrons to use the CharityRx prescription discount card. Every little bit helps, and together, we can significantly impact people’s lives this Thanksgiving.
